After crazy packing, two long days of driving and some days of unpacking, we are finally moved to Texas. We live just outside of Austin now. We have several things to share, but for today, we will start with the moving adventure.
Our Missouri grandparents came to Maryland to load up all our stuff. Wow, we sure filled up their trailer!
Besides the big horse trailer, we also filled up a U-Haul trailer with Dad's motorcycle and Mom's scooter. Several things also went into the back of the 4Runner, leaving Steve and me very little room!
I wanted to sit in the front seat, but there was a deer in the seat!
Wilbur rode in the Civic with Mom.
He meowed so much that Mom eventually let him out of his carrier and he rode in all sorts of awkward positions.
On the trip we got to eat supper in a gas station parking lot,
and share Dad's fries at Dairy Queen,
and tried to take over driving during a gas stop,
and got to have breakfast in bed.
We spent the night in Birmingham, Alabama, and the next morning Wilbur did not want to get back in the car, so he hid.
Mom found him though and we continued our trip. Finally we arrived in Texas!
