It's been pretty hot here in Maryland, so last weekend, Dad took us swimming. We got to go to the beach on the Naval base where there are not a lot of people or other dogs. It's pretty exclusive because if you want to go swim there, you have to have a human with a badge for the base. Lucky for us, we happen to have a human that fits that requirement.
We couldn't wait to get into the water. We tried to swim before Dad even had a chance to change us to our long leashes.
After we got our leashes changed out, we decided to get wet. Sometimes Steve is a little cautious about swimming, but not me, I love it.
Steve eventually decided that he was going to go all in and we swam out past where we could touch.
There are also interesting things to check out on the beach. Steve smelled some stuff and I ran back and forth between Steve and Dad.
After swimming, Dad took us walking along the beach for a while so we could dry off before getting back in the 4Runner to go home. We didn't find anything interesting though, but were successfully tired out and slept all afternoon!
