Solo Steve

Kat had to go to the dentist today. I didn't have to go, so Mom and I spent all day just the two of us. I'm not going to lie, at first I was miserable. I yelped and whined and wooed in misery. Then Mom told me that I needed to stop or else we couldn't start our day of fun. That got my attention, so I decided to give it a go and see what she had in mind.

First up was a run. You're not going to believe it, but I got to run all over the UVA campus today! I never get to do that because there are so many squirrels and Mom can't handle both of us with all those squirrels. It was really exciting even if we didn't see any squirrels.

I had my picture taken with Mr. Jefferson, but my photographer is not very good and she cut off half of my body and his head.

After the run, we can home and Mom ate some lunch while I got a little rest. Then Mom asked me if I would like to go for a car ride and of course, I said yes. Usually we don't go anywhere good and I always have to wait in the car, but this time, I got to get out because we went to Petco! Check out what I found. My famous twin!

Please pay no attention to me in this picture. I am not being bad at all.

I got to buy one thing and I picked a cow ear. Mom told the checkout clerk that she didn't need a bag and she let me carry the cow ear to the car.

After Petco, I thought we were going home, but I was wrong. We went to the dog park. I hadn't been there in so long because Kat isn't a good dog parker. The weather people had predicted rain for all-day today, but luckily it didn't happen so Mom thought I could go to the park without getting dirty.

There were not a lot of dogs at the park, but that was okay with me because I had a lot of space to run.

I did get a little chase in though.

I also made friends with a little dog.

After the dog park, I thought we were going back home, but I was wrong again. We made my favorite stop of the day - back at the vet to pick up Kat!

I'll admit, I did enjoy my Solo Steve day, but I think I like Dynamic Duo days best.

PS. You might wonder how I managed to get red feet. That happened at the dog park. Even though Mom thought it would be dry and I wouldn't get dirty, I outsmarted her.
