The Bumpass Hounds and kitties asked about me back when the furry beasts were announcing their careers. The BH&Ks wanted to know what my career choice would be. I really don't need to get a job because I have humans to just pay for everything my heart desires, but I decided to just follow my dreams and do what comes naturally. So obviously, I'm going to be a pilot. Some of you might remember that the furry beasts took to the skies wearing white flying scarves, but they have only flown once and I have flown many times and also flew before they ever even thought about it.
Some of you know that I have been flying since I was about 2 months old. Here I am right before my first flight. Mom's holding a sign that says "Kittyhawk" since it was the first flight of Wilbur, even though my namesake, Wilbur Wright, actually did the second flight at Kittyhawk on Dec. 17, 1903.As you can see, I was a calm, cool and collected co-pilot on that flight.I officially earned my pilots license in December 2005 after I successfully copiloted with Mom when we flew back to Texas after Christmas and had to land with a huge crosswind. The old-timers at the airport were really impressed with Mom's skills, but they didn't know that it was actually all me.
I am so into flying that I even have a cat carrier with a plane on the side!In addition to flying Cessna 182s, I also have flown jets. Here's me in an F-16.Okay, technically that's actually Mom, but I taught her everything she knows, so it might as well have been me. I also have a tailwheel endorsement, having flown in this airplane, a Bellanca Scout. So as you can see, I am quite the accomplished pilot. I might just be the most accomplished feline pilot in history!
Meow,
Wilbur
